Single cask release from the latest outturn by James Eadie independent whisky bottlers.
Distilled in 2008, then matured for 12 years in ex bourbon barrels before transferring to European oak Amontillado sherry casks for a further 13 months maturation.
The amontillado has has it’s desired effect here, the nose shows dried herbs, hay and dried citrus peels. The palate is rounder and takes a little water well. Nutty, with fine oak tannins and milk chocolate cookies.
