An exploration of Spain beyond Rioja. Here there’s an introduction of the indigenous Bobal variety, Priorat region and a full bodied Ribera del Duero from very old vines…for fans of Tempranillo (Rioja’s most famous grape variety).
This pack contains:
Altolandon Mil Historias Bobal: Indigenous Bobal from just North of Valencia, a variety everyone should try and beautifully showing it’s violet hints and blackberry flavour alongside ripe tannins for food friendly consumption. Vibrant with distinctive power and crunchy berried fruit over spice and delicate herbal notes.
Gine Gine Priorat: A juicy, succulent style of Priorat with well balanced strawberry and violet scented fruit followed by a mid weight palate with soil driven minerality and a long finish. Blend of 50/50 Grenache and Carignan from old vines. This is a perfect introduction to Priorat, a region that produces some of Spains finest red wines.
Damana 5 Ribera del Duero: Old vine Tempranillo from limestone rich soils. A big hug of a wine that combines ripe hand harvested fruit with the structure of french oak maturation. Dark and intense, with aromas and flavours of blackberries, black cherries and creamy notes of vanilla. A rich, medium-bodied red with an excellent finish.
