Description
Distilled in 2007, this Benriach spent 17 years in a refill hogshead, before being bottled at 47.3% ABV (with no chill-filtration or added colouring) by the excellent Thompson Bros. A total of only 296 bottles was released.
Nose – Dried apricots, ginger spice, honey, fresh lime, smells like it would make a great margarita. Some funk characteristics too. Palate – Honeyed malt, some stone fruit, green grapes and white pepper and yellow plums. Finish – Salty and funky on the finish.
