Acid Brewing say “I decided to push the boat out with this one and try something a bit different. Brewed in collaboration with Brewdog Merchant City for Collabfest 2020, I decided to mix things up and try something fun! The beer itself is creamy with an incredible mouthfeel created from the use of maltodextrin as opposed to lactose. The aroma is pure petit filous – apricots, yogurt and a subtle yeasty funk. The flavour is rich with a strong apricot sweetness and a subtle lactic tartness; finishing with a slightly spicy almost cardamon like yeast bite.
“The beer was created by co-fermenting a light golden wort with Voss Kveik and Lactobacillus Helvicticus at 39 degrees celcius (YES, THAT WARM), before receiving a 100g per litre dose of apricot puree to condition on.”
