A super limited new release from Ardnamurchan.
“20 bourbon barrels filled in 2017 with our 30ppm peated distillate and transferred them into ex-Mezcal barrels for the final 20 months of maturation. The blending team has been tracking these casks for a while now and we’re thrilled with how our coastal and heathery peat smoke character has dovetailed with the saline, vegetal traits of the ex-Mezcal casks. At 7 years old these casks really rounded into a beautiful final product.
We decided this batch nosed and tasted best at a punchier bottle strength of 55% ABV. While we wish we had a bit more to spread around, one only gets so many Mezcal casks! As such, these 20 barrels have yielded a global outturn of 4,500 bottles.”
