Description
This wine is all about vibrancy and character. Think fresh fruit, wild herbs, and the scent of blooming flowers rolled into one glass. It’s textured yet refreshing, with a long, lively finish that keeps you coming back for more. If you love aromatic, flavour-packed whites, this one’s a joy.
George Charalaboglou’s wine journey began with stories from his grandparents about vines and tsipouro. What started in a tiny 2-acre family vineyard back in 1977 has grown into 150 acres of certified organic vineyards on the slopes of Mount Paggaio in Krinida, Serres. By 1999, George was bottling his own wines, and by 2003, a modern winery and welcoming tasting hall were built right among the vines.
Today, the estate celebrates both local Greek grapes, like Koniaros, Assyrtiko, Malagouzia, Moschato, and Roditis — and international favourites such as Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Syrah, and Cabernet Sauvignon. Visitors are invited to walk the vineyards, see organic farming in action, and taste the wines where they’re made.
This Field Blend brings together Malvasia Aromatica and Viognier, hand-harvested from select parcels on the same day. They’re co-fermented with only wild vineyard yeasts, partly in stainless steel and partly in fragrant acacia barrels. The wine is bottled unfined and unfiltered, pure, expressive, and gloriously alive.
