Description
Monbazillac is an AOC appellation in the Bergerac region of southwest France. Known for some of the nation’s best sweet wines, made exclusively from noble rot (botrytis) affected grapes.
Chateau Ramon is a family vineyard situated on the southern hill of the Dordogne river, and they meticulously craft this low-yield wine by entirely manual harvest. The result is a fabulous straw colour, with a nose of minimal oak, honey and acacia. The palate offers notes of mirabelle plums and ripe peaches with a backbone of pleasing acid and slight bitter orange. Enjoy with paté or blue cheese, or simply as an aperitif.
