We’ve finally made our fine wine pack, we spend a lot of our days in the shop making them up one by one for customers but we decided it was time to showcase the amazing top end classics we have:

We aim to make life that little bit easier for you by spending countless hours pouring over our importer lists & tasting through wine offerings to bring you this delicious selection of our most impressiveclassic wines to try.

Michel Gonet 3 Terroirs Champagne 2016 – The 3 Terroirs Blanc de Blancs is an extra brut Champagne made from Chardonnay that spends 6 years ageing on the lees. Elegant and racy with citrus, apple and pear aromas rounded out by hazelnut and toast from the long lees ageing with a delightfully full and creamy mouthfeel. Fantastic value, Blanc de Blanc (100% chardonnay) Champagne. Blended to perfection and expressing the disctinct qualities of the terroir from which its grapes derive.

Chavy Chouet Femelottes Chardonnay 2020 – Les Femelottes in Puligny-Montrachet is an exceptional terroir for a Burgundy, producing subtle white wines. This cuvée is very lively. In the mouth, it is supple, fruity, and balanced. Right now, it can be enjoyed in all its freshness, and for a few years to come. This was open for tasting at our Winter wine fair a few weeks ago & it was singing! A wonderful example of Chardonnay that even a non-Chardonnay drinker would love.

Jean Tardy Cotes du Nuits 2015 – Dark plum and mulberry bouquet with tart red cherries and stony minerality. The quality on show here from Jean Tardy easily raises this Bourgogne status to ‘Village’. There is incredible concentration and intensity on the palate with depth and energy beyond its price point. Classic red and dark cherries combine with subtle earthy notes of “sous-bois” and stony minerality. The tannins are so well integrated, they are pratically non-existent and the fresh finish leaves a mouthwatering experience.

Torre Alle Torfe Chianti – T

Beautiful Colle Sensi Riserva Chianti, 100% Sangioves showing aromas of ripe cherry and blackberry along with signs of maturity. Complex notes of dried flowers, stewed red fruit and ripe fruit.

Full and rich in the mouth with good acidity and when accompanied by food the tannins are perfect. Lingering very savory finish. Well balanced with hints of chocolate and spices. Long finish with finely grained oak tannins and a little more spice.

Hand harvested, aged for 2 years post fermentation partly in glass-lined concrete tanks and partly in chestnut botti.

Remelluri Rioja Reserva 2013 – The nose is very pronounced, displaying typical Rioja aromas of ripe strawberries, dark plums, cream, vanilla and hints of sweet liquorice. On the palate it is elegant, with well-integrated alcohol, fine-grained tannins and good flavour concentration.

Quinta de Noval 2016 LBV – A remarkable example of the Noval style. Treated exactly like a Vintage Port with only noble grape varieties from their own Quinta, trodden by foot and unfiltered. Its main difference is that it is aged for four, sometimes five years in wooden vats instead of the two years typical of Vintage Ports. Definitely an LBV with a difference, with fine structured tannins, great freshness and purity of fruit. It is delicious to drink today, but will age beautifully in its bottle. This is Noval`s “Baby Vintage“.
