Description
The thirteen casks in this bottling are all first fill ex bourbon barrels distilled in January or August 2007. They were matured in the upper level of the warehouse before being bottled in July 2023 at the traditional Fife strength. The malt variety is Optic.
A rare 15 year old Daftmill to celebrate the UK Independent Whisky Retailers. We are very please to be included on their list of stockists who are truely oporating independently. As a small team of 5 people that opporates from our original single site opened in 2013. From here we supply whiskies to the On-Trade, ship UK wide and look after those lovely Edinburgh residents who like to pop by for Whisky chats and to pick up a bottle or two. Daftmill is a farm distillery. Owned and operated by the Cuthbert family, it only runs in the farm’s quiet periods; midsummer and winter, sometimes producing as few as 100 casks per year. When not distilling, Francis Cuthbert looks after the estate, growing the malting barley used to make this Lowland whisky.
