Since early 2021, we’ve had the privilege of importing Vanessa Letort’s wines, and
now really excited to be collaborating with her new project, Domaine de la
Légèreté.
Domaine de la Légèreté is a project that grew out of a friendship between Vanessa
Letord (Du Vin aux Liens), her partner Farid Yahimi (Sons of Wine), and Naoufel Zaïm
who runs a popular fishmonger in Belleville in Paris.
Set in Lorraine, where Farid grew up, the project began in 2019 with the purchase of
one hectare in Bulligny. In 2021, they expanded by adding 3.5 hectares in the nearby
village of Lucey. The company was officially established in 2022, and the domain
now includes 6 hectares of organically farmed vines on clay-limestone soils.
Their approach to winemaking is simple and low-intervention, focusing on minimal
inputs and respect for the land. Since there is not yet a winery on site, the grapes
have so far been vinified in Alsace. However, plans are underway to build a chai
(winery) in Lucey, allowing them to handle everything locally.
Domaine de la Légèreté is about a friendship’s collaboration with a commitment to
making honest wines. Légèreté meaning lightness comes through in every glass.
