Description
Haskap Holiday pours a hazy coral, almost hibiscus, colour with a moderate carbonation. Orange & lemon peel on the nose, along with a touch of juicy grapefruit, and of course honeyberry (blueberry & raspberry with undertones of blackcurrant & elderberry). There’s a creamy, marshmallow-sweet aroma too, provoking thoughts of strawberry ice cream. The complex smell also offers floral notes of rose, hibiscus and honeysuckle. To taste there is a mellow and pleasant acidity combined with a low to medium bitterness. You are met with jammy flavours of honeyberry with the tartness amped up by the hoppy citrus character. Notes of lemon meringue pie, redcurrants and tizer pop up. By the mid palate and into the finish a woody dryness permeates making you reach for that next sip.
