A 16-year-old Fettercairn, distilled in 2008, matured in a refill Hogshead, and bottled by Thompson Bros. The exceedingly vibrant label alludes to the mythical creature that Fettercairn take as their distillery crest, and of course, Scotland’s national animal.
And the whisky certainly lives up to its exuberant label. The nose is one of white flowers and lemon oil; akin to a glass of riesling,
