Description
This English Sparkling is a blend of the three classic Champagne varieties (Chardonnay 40%, Pinot Noir 35%, Pinot Meunier 25%), grown on a combination of chalk and clay soils. The cuvee is expertly put together by winemaker Collette O’Leary using the classical method and aged on lees for 3 years. Finished off with a dosage of 7 g/l.
Henners Vineyard, established in 2007, resides in the picturesque village of Herstmonceux in East Sussex. This is one of the driest, most sunny pockets of the English countryside, climatic advantages that allow Henners to grow top quality fruit and produce excellent sparkling and still wines.
Fiennes has the hallmarks of richness and boldness of a classical sparkling aged for this long, but is more defined by its elegance and refined nature. It has great balance and a delicious citrus and orchard fruit backbone.
