Description

The fresh and flattering style of a youthful Beaujolais Villages Nouveau is the ideal wine style for this Natural wine made without the addition of sulphites or chemical processes.

It is made from organically farmed vines planted in 1940 in a plot of Beaujolais Villages that commands a beautiful view across to the church towers of Régnié and the hill of Brouilly.

2024 was an incredible tough vintage. For some winemakers the yields were 30% of what they should be. That being said, the quality is superb – the fruit has concentration and acid in the perfect balance (some people even citing the legendary 2014 vintage). A small, but perfect, vintage.

Jean-Michel Dupré is the fifth generation winemaker, now assisted by daughter Cindy, on the outskirts of Beaujeu, the market town that gives its name to the region. His Beaujolais has always been made with minimal intervention to preserve the natural vibrant fruit character.
