Here is the Summer weather & matching wine pack we have been waiting for.


This is our 12th pack! It is full of brand new wines that we have tasted recently & just loved. We wanted to champion types of wine that we are passionate about – organic, minimal intervention, food friendly aromatic, fortified & fizzy.


It has been a year of working on the monthly packs now & it feels time to include one of India & Jamie’s loves – sherry.


En Rama Sherry is a once yearly release from famous bodega Gonzalez Byass Tio Pepe. It is an unfiltered fino. Chill this like a white wine & it makes the best aperitif on a sunny day… serve with spiced almonds, olives, manchego & cured meats.

The July pack is made up of 1 sparkling, 2 white, 2 red & 1 dry sherry.


This month’s pack includes:

Loxarel Cora Xarello (Spain) – A lovely example of Cartoixa (Xarello) one of the traditional Cava grapes. A beautifully aromatic, intense, organic white wine. This is an appealing blend of Muscat & Xarello where the aromatics are kept in check with lots of fresh fruit. Green fruit, pear & white peach mix with tropical notes of lychee, citrus & honeysuckle on a dry & refreshing palate. The texture is smooth & elegant, it will suit some Summery food matches with Mediterranean fish, seafood or white meat dishes.


Rube Rosso Dolcetto (Italy)– Dolcetto is the black grape variety from Italy meaning ‘little sweet one’. This is an earthier style of red famous in the region, dry, earthy & full of brambles & black cherries. Enjoy with pasta puttanesca, sausage stew, mushrooms on toast & pepperoni pizza. It can take a lot of flavour to go along with its blackberry & liquorice aromas. Organic.


Il Farneto Frisant Bianco (Italy) Frisant Bianco is an Emilian sparkling wine refermented in the bottle (so it is a little cloudy), produced from local variety Spergola & Sauvignon Blanc grapes. It has a lively, refreshing & aromatic profile. Scents of pear, yeast, flowers & white fruits accompany a fresh & juicy sip with a lovely sherbert zest. The grapes for this wine are farmed organically & it is made with minimal added chemicals & wild yeast. A lovely Sparkling wine that any Prosecco drinker would love but it is a bit different & fun to try something new!


Tio Pepe En Rama (Spain) – Sherry can be an incredibly versatile drink & we feel it sometimes has a negative old fashioned reputation that it simply doesn’t deserve. This bottle is 375ml & is fortified up to 15% abv. It is fantastic chilled & drunk like a white wine or even mixed with tonic over ice. We love the apple, hay, nutty notes this wine has. Share the bottle with pals over tapas & soak in the Spanish/Scottish sunshine.


Musita Zibbibo (Sicily)- Classic aromatic white grape variety from Sicily. Full of blossom, lychee, nectarine with nice fresh acidity. Perfect as a glass by itself or with some fragrant spicy seafood.


La Loup Grenache Noir (France) – La Loupe is a very approachable, fruit-driven red made from Grenache, grown in the Mediterranean vineyards of the Languedoc. The nose is peppery with herbal scents & juicy ripe red berry fruit flavours typical of the Languedoc, together with a smooth texture & supple, fruit forward, mouthfilling finish. Your new favourite Summer red!
