Description
A no added sulphites bordeaux blend from the Cote du Marmandais, a satelitte region on the outskirts of Bordeaux.
A lovely aromatic nose of blackcurrant, raspberry and wild wild strawberry. Then on to a palate of more ripe berries and some medium tannins. nicely balanced, it remains fresh and medium bodied. A good weekday wine or easy intro to wines made without added sulphur.
The vineyards of the Cave du Marmandais extend over both banks of the Garonne river. They practice organic farming and produce quality wines from Bordeaux varieties as well as some rarely seen local varieties.
