Description
Wilfried from Maison Crochet is a charming & uniquely funny man who having made wines in Champagne has now settled in Lorraine, where he produces beautiful sparkling wines, Pinot Noir & Chardonnay from limestone soils.
The wines are produced under ‘Vin de France’ appellation to allow him more freedom with chemical free farming, low intervention & natural winemaking.
This new wine however, is made using grapes from Alsace’s sunny slopes & granite terroir.
‘Lubie’ is a macerated orange wine from 40% Pinot Gris & 60% Gewuztraminer.
A beautifully coloured, aromatic expression of Gewurztraminer’s floral, lychee & rose water notes with some nicely balanced tannins.
Made with no additions or filtration.
Pairs wonderfully with richer spicy dishes.
Natural winemaking & Vegan friendly.
