Autumn is a wonderful season for game birds too, with wild duck, grouse & pheasant all on the table. The reds in this pack will be lovely fruity matches for this type of game too! Not too huge in body but lots of complex fruit & spice flavours.

This month’s pack includes 1 Sparkling, 1 Orange Wine, 2 Whites & 2 Reds.

3 of these are organic & 5 of these are brand new listings!

Eligible for free shipping across mainland UK.

Gran Gesta Brut Cava (Spain)

This delicious dry Cava is light, toasty & packed full of citrus & white flower notes. A very quaffable sparkler! Always good to have one of these in your fridge door.

‘Vent Mineral’ Vouvray (France)

‘Vent Mineral’ is an organic dry Vouvray made from hand-harvested Chenin Blanc grapes & aged in old French oak barrels. What emerges is a delicious white with a beautiful golden colour & an intense nose full of floral (acacia) & citrus fruits (grapefruit, lemon). The palate is voluminous with fresh & rounded citrus & hints of glazed peach, apple & apricot.
A fantastic wine for these Autumnal days, pairs exceptionally well with crab, lobster, scallops & even pork to cut through the richness & bring a fruity support act, everyone knows how good pork is with fruit!

Zaccagnini Verdicchio (Italy)

A delicate & elegant organically farmed white wine made on the East coast of Italy from the native Verdicchio grape. It has fresh citrus & a delicious green herb flavour on the palate, along with notes of stone fruit there is a lovely bitter finish like chicory or radicchio leaving the finish very refreshing & the drinker wanting another sip! Perfect with seafood or asparagus risotto.

Tre Monti Orange (Italy)

A naturally made & organically farmed orange wine made from 100% Albana grape, a rare grape not commonly seen anymore but cherished in this region.

It gives a deep yellow colour with fragrances of melon, apricot, honey & wildflowers. There is a dry peach, plum & bitter almond on the palate.

Vinha do Reino ‘A river runs through it’ Douro (Portugal)

We loved this when we tried it! It has an opulent & welcoming aroma, with notes of red fruit & wild berries on the nose, yet the palate shows a lightness of touch & a freshness of bright red berries, bramble fruits & a wonderfully light tannin structure. Not your classic Douro big Portuguese style but very delicious nonetheless & a good starter as we lean into Autumn.

Lo & Behold Red (South Africa)

A brand new South African on our shelf full of fresh, ripe fruit & white pepper on the nose. It smelt & tasted like each of its blended grapes were distinguishable & each bringing their stregth to the overall glass. Mourvèdre brings a dark, rich fruit core to the classic Shiraz characteristics, with fragrance from the Carignan & the red fruit vibrancy of the Cinsault.
