Description
A linear, pure white with racy, briny lemon zest acidity and an elegant mix of floral and fresh green herbaceous notes.
Harvest takes place towards the end of August. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks. Wine undergoes malolactic fermentation followed by 20 months ageing in 2,500 litre old wooden vats.
The vineyard is densely planted at 2,500 vines/hectare. Viticulture is practicing organic and winemaking is low-intervention.
Dirk has been working here since 2010 and thinks this is potentially some of Portugal’s best terroir. The fruit is from 80-year-old vines grown on calcareous clay soils.
