An old school Westy hopped with Centennial, Chinook, Citra and Mosaic for all the citrus/floral/pine flavour layered on a malt bill based on Chevalier with the likes of CaraRed and CaraMunich to further underpin the sweet toffee, honey and caramel notes – and to develop that inviting deep red colour, of course. A robust bitterness perfectly balances the sweet malt and makes for a truly delicious beer with which to fend off the January blues.
