Description

This is a future classic, this hails from the smoky volacanic island of Tenerife in the Canaries. Whole bunches of grapes are macerated to give stalky fine structure, then it undergoes aging in 500L barrels for around 10 months.

Ripe red fruits, herbal aromatics and smoky mineral notes here. Black pepper comes though on the palatet to compliment the ripe fruits on the nose.

Sortevera is a new venture from viticulturist Jose Angel Alonso Ramos and Jonathan Garcia Lima of Suertes del Marques in Tenerife. The grapes are from a field blend of grapes from organically grown bush vines in the Taganana.

This wine is vinified from a field blend of grapes including Moscatel Negra. Mulata, Tintilla just to name a few. It is naturally fermented in full bunches. Oak aged for 9 months the tannins are grippy and the flavour incredible.
