Description
This year’s Springbank Local Barley is matured for 8 years in a 50-50 combination of bourbon and sherry casks. For this special bottling, they have used the historic Bere barley, grown exclusively at the local High Ranach Farm.
Official Tasting Notes
Nose – Notes of cracked black pepper, cigar box and sage on the nose introduce this year’s Local Barley.
Palate – There are notes of shortbread and salted caramel on the palate, along with a herbal, basil note.
Finish – A long, sweet finish with notes of toffee standing out.
