Description
Produced from the second oldest Riesling vineyard in Mosel, Weingut Stein can date back to the 16th century. Dr Ulrich Stein’s mission was to preserve and protect the heritage of these estates. Even when other producers in the 1970s were pulling up their vines to plant on American rootstock, he stuck to his guns and left the land as it was. Fast forward to today and the winery still has some undrafted vines!
Hand harvested and spontaneous, wild yeast fermented. Minimal S02 at bottling and no other additions.
