Welcome to Summer & some delicious bottles to enjoy in the longer days of sunshine!
This wine pack includes 6 bottles of lighter red wine styles.
La Cuvee des Copains Cotes du Rhone – Bright ruby red. Smells of raspberry, blackcurrant & liquorice. It has juicy texture, grainy tannins & acidity in balance with the fruit. A classic Cotes du Rhone blend of Grenache and Syrah, fermented in concrete to add fine tannins while letting the fruit character shine without any oak influence.
Mainklang Roter Mulatschak – Natural red made from a blend of biodynamic Zweigelt and St. Laurent grapes. The nose is earthy and herbal, the fruit is bright, juicy berries, and there’s fresh acidity. Perfect on its own.
Hamilton Heights Shiraz – Bright ruby red in colour, this Aussie Shiraz is bursting full of inviting blackcurrant and blackberry aromas on the nose. The palate is smooth and soft with juicy black fruit flavours and a hint of spicy pepper. Soft tannnins give structure to the wine which has a long and polished finish.
Campo Flores Organic Tempranillo Shiraz – A ripe succulent, juicy red wine which is luscious and rugged. Supple ripe strawberry and blackcurrant fruit provides the character, and a warming spicy finish gives personality to this delicious red. A great Spanish Tempranillo for weekdays or well, kind of any event really:)
Mora and Memo Cannonau di Sardegna – Intense ruby red colour with violet reflections, impenetrable. Bouquet of red berries and spices and coffee. Smooth and elegant tannins in a great structure and complexity. The beautiful estate of Mora & Memo sits high in the hills in the south east of Sardinia just a few kilometres from the sea. Taking the reins from her father running this small scale winery, winemaker Elisabetta focusses on producing wines representative of the island terroir, executed in a modern way.
Caruso Minini Nerello Mascalese Frappato – A great introduction to Sicily’s greatest red grape variety, Nerello Mascalese. Elegant and light Mascalese is used to craft the fine wines of Mount Etna, often referred to as the Barolo’s of the South. This wee baby Nerello Mascalese and Frappato blend shows sunny, ripe, jammy red fruits, wild strawberry, herbs and a touch of violet. On the palate it is rich, yet refreshing.
