Description
Distilled at Allt-á-Bhainne distillery on July 26, 2000, this particular Scotch whisky underwent an initial maturation in hogshead casks, followed by a 22-month finish in a first-fill sherry butt. The whisky was then bottled on November 28, 2022, resulting in 689 bottles for Signatory’s Cask Strength Collection.
A huge dram, so much going on here, concentrated dried fruit from raisins to figs and the rest, sweet syrup covered dark chocolate, brown sugar and bramble preserve. There’s coffee bean and rich mahogany notes about too.
