Description
The orginal Palo Cortado Caol Ila returns in a new release from the team at James Eadie. This one was finished in a single Refill Palo Cortado Sherry Hogshead for 9 months, then bottled at natural cask strength 56.1%.
A little lighter than previous expressions, it shows barley water, sea salt, ashy peat smoke, with baked aple tart. The palate is a little oily with spice and charred citrus, touch of earth and dried dates. It rounds off with a little white pepper, soot and a lingering citrus note.
