A fresh and light interpretation of Grenache Blanc, it’s aromatic with a steely citrus character. The palate has ripe pear, yellow plum and some spice, cut with a pithy citrus finish.
From the Wellington region of South Africa, this is Grenache Blanc grown with organic farming, on decomposed shale soils, and made by winemaker Corlea Fourie.
The fruit is hand harvested, destemmed and pressed into a stainless-steel tank, where fermentation takes place naturally. Malolactic fermentation is blocked. The wine is aged in neutral vessels until bottling.
