Founded by Didier Dagueneau and today opporated by his son Louis-Benjamin Dagueneau who took over in 2008 following Didier’s death.
A true master of Sauvignon Blanc, Louis-Benjamin Dagueneau produces cuvées reknowned for their purity and precision.
Silex is Dagueneau’s flagship wine, named after the flint-clay soil of Pouilly-Fumé. This comes from one single parcel of biodynamic vines on the Saint-Andlaint hill, hand-harvested with low yields, fully ripe fruit to produce ageworthy, Grand Cru-level wines.
Powerful, concentrated citrus fruit with gunflint minerality and precise, crystalline acidity. This wine will continue to develope for the next decade if held.
