This crisp and refreshing Macabeau is a great example of why Calatayud is demanding our attention. The perfect white to chill and enjoy with seafood or fresh vegetables, packed w notes of unctuous white peach and grapefruit peel with a subtle herbal finish.
Calatayud has a treasure chest of old vineyards, and it’s not uncommon to find 8 vines, which are able to withstand the warm and dry climate as well as its infamous strong northerly El Cierzo wind. El Risco is sourced from these old h vineyards and vinified with a hands-off, low-intervention attitude.
