Description
Caespes is made from 100% Timorasso from the south west of Piemonte. A very rare grape variety, sparsely seen anymore. It is a highly mineral wine with bounds of fresh citrus fruits and a light spiced character. The high acidity allows to be suited for white fish or chicken.
Siblings Ezio and Mary Poggio are part of a new generation of Piedmontese winemaker promoting the special qualities of the Colli Tortonesi`s indigenous white variety, Timorasso. They are young winemakers focused on reviving this near extinct variety.
