Description
Aromatic and elegant with raspberry, cherry and earthy notes. Plenty bottle age here and nice balance of developing fruit, ripe fruits and grainy tannins.
Irancy is in the far north of Burgundy, the furthest for Pinot Noir production and south west of Chablis.
Produced from 97 year old vines in the 0.5 hectare lieu dit of Mazelots. Farming is organic and Biodynamic, grapes are hand harvested, destemmed, mascerated 3-4 weeks and fermented with wild yeasts. The wine is then racked into neautral french oak and left to age on it’s fine lees for 10-16 weeks. Bottled unfined and unfiltered.
