A soft and juicy red from the Marzemino grape, natural winemaking, 12 months ageing before bottling and loaded with red berries and spices.
This a versatile, fresh and food friendly red, light on it’s feet, it would match both a long lunch or a sharing dinner. Marzemino grapes are grown 250m above sea level by Marco Bertoni on the Secchia river boundary of Reggio Emilia and Modena. The soild are mineral rich. Fermented on the skins for 7-10 days in concrete tanks. After fermentation it was moved into old tonneaux for one year, then one more year in concrete, then bottled.
