Description
Pizzolato, impressively for the Veneto, works only with organic grapes. This merlot based rose is strawberry pink in appearance with inviting red berry aromas on the nose. Fresh and approachable on the palate but with an elegant balance between freshness and berry fruit. It is lovely as an apéritif and delicious with so many pasta dishes.
Settimo Pizzolato is the latest of five generations of Pizzolati who have made wine here. The estate has been organic since 1991 but about 10 years ago energetic Settimo pushed through a quantum leap upwards in quality.
At Cantina Pizzolato farming is entirely Organic and wines are made in absence of sulfite additions.
