To Boldly Go opens a new frontier in winemaking – or do we mean perry making?

Our craziest idea yet has brought together organically grown Bacchus grapes, sourced by our lovely friend Ingrid from Dunleavy Vineyards with mid-season Herefordshire perry pears – Green Horse and Hendre Huffcap. Throw in carbonic maceration and spontaneous co-fermentation, and the result is the creation of a pét nat that is – yep – out of this world!

Insanely aromatic, all peach, elderflower and hedgerow flowers. The sparkle is extremely fine, making it soft and creamy in the mouth. There’s flavours of lemon zest, grapefruit pith, passion fruit, basil leaf, lime oil and a seemingly ever lasting palate.  Ultimately it’s totally crushable and a lot of fun!

Working with its home orchard and some of the most talented orchardists in its environs, Little Pomona crafts ciders and perries and other fermented beverages that speak of the land, that taste of the harvest, that illustrate the wonderful cidermaking heritage the region is built on, and that look to the future.
