From 100% 30-year-old Grenache Noir vines grown on limestone soil. Fermented spontaneously using minimal intervention winemaking. Bottled unfined and unfiltered.
In 2013, three friendly wine merchants created Poivre d’Ane, a house dedicated to eco-friendly, clean, additive-free “natural” wines. Bearing a social and political message from day one, Poivre d’Âne and its nonconformist winemakers decided to exclude chemicals from their activities. Instead, they are relying on natural yeasts derived from the grape itself and low levels of sulfites. They are focused on Languedoc’s terroir, where they live, but also on Vallée du Rhône and Provence.
