Description
A selection of two top French reds from Goisot in Burgundy and Le Puy in Bordeaux.
The first wine is Le Puy Duc de Nauves. The second wine from Le Puy and made with predominantly Merlot and a little Cabernet Sauvignon. A fresh, fruit-forward wine packed with plum and blackcurrant fruit, woody spice and light, savoury tones, piced plums; clove, piney notes with hints of green olive tapenade and smoke.
The second wine is Goisot Bourgogne Côtes d’Auxerre Corps de Garde 2015. Super elegant Pinot Noir with 7 years gentle maturation. On the nose it gives off scents of forest fruits, spices, liquorice and a light coffee bean. The palate its full and elegant, underlined by fine tannins and its delicate liquorice and berry fruti note.
