Shiraume Umeshu is a plum liqueur made by preserving plums in the finest ginjo sake made from Yamada Nishiki rice. Shows dried dates, cherry and plum on the nose. Sweet with rich prune, almond flavours and a refreshing clean finish.
Drink neat over ice for a lovely liquid dessert, or pair with cooked fruit such as apricot compote or on its own as a desert wine. Mince pies, Christmas pudding or cake, Bakewell tart with vanilla ice cream.
