Description
This Loire Valley Sauvignon Blanc has a thirst quenching minerality with lovely gooseberry fruit tones and herbaceous hints. Everyone immediately jumps to Sancerre when they think of French Sauvignon Blanc, but the Loire is full of lesser-known appellations that grow this aromatic grape splendidly. Touraine, home to La Grange Tiphaine, is one such region where you can find terrific, great value wines.
25 year old Sauvignon Blanc vines, grown over Clay and limestone. Hand-harvested. Fermentation and ageing took place in stainless steel tanks. Bottled the spring following the harvest.
